I use the Google Now launcher. Seems perfect for me.

Yea I feel ya. Don't think there is any perfect solution. I too don't like many aspects of vanilla Android and still require root for what I want. Can't stand iOS whatsoever. The PureNexus ROM on the 6P has been great for me though. Never even bother with updates.

Does Android pay & NFC still work on this rom? I went looking for roms and was surprised at how many popular ones didn't have certain features working. I'm surprised that many people are okay with running a rom that gimps their device like that.

At a quick glance, yes. It's more like a stock rom, but with enhancements and custom settings.

Although I've never used either. I'd try Android pay if it was universally accepted wherever CC are, but doubt it. Especially living in a small town in the midwest, which means I have to carry my CC's regardless. I would f'ing love to not have to carry them. Would also have to be compatible with all my rewards programs, carry 6 CC's and use them based on max rewards/transaction.

It's compatible with any Tap n Pay terminal - if a retailer takes chip cards and Apple Pay, Android Pay will work with it.

This is where Samsung Pay is the better option. Their MST tech is great. Works with any magstripe reader.

I've had an S6 for a year now and.... It's been great, never had one, NOT one problem with it... Best phone I've ever owned. I had an S4 that only lasted about a year, till I kept getting "The No SIM" and the "Memory Card Reset" messages. Tried all the tips and tricks, Sometimes it would not do it for days / weeks but then randomly the message would appear. Annoying, but I think it was because it in my pocket and put some stress torques on it when I sat down.

I guess if I was having problems with a phone, I certainly wouldn't buy the same phone again, you should try a nexus or htc or something else. Plenty of good phones out there besides samsung.

Oh and go back to apple, if you're really that pissed, chuck it and get on the apple train, best of luck to you!

Might try it out, but other than maybe Walmart or Home Depot, most places I visit you still hand the card to a cashier around here.
