Last nite I got plastered beyond plastered. and it made me realize something. I dont like being drunk. While I'm drunk I don't like it, and the hang over is ridiculous. While in college I did my fair share of recreational drugs (which I wont list here), and I realized the same thing (the effects outweigh the good parts of it) Outside of a casual beer I think my days of heavy drinking are beyond me. Here's to a better 2006!

I came to that same realization many years ago. I just didn't like the feeling of loss of control. Haven't had too many in a long time. Don't miss it a bit.

I still like beer, wine, etc., but I won't drink to excess.

Good luck!

Marking this thread as future evidence.

And by that I mean, good luck.

It'll never happen. I've quit drinking atleast 10 times.

But in the slight chance that you are infact serious... Good luck.

Famous last words... seriously, its about balance, you can have a few drinks and get a buzz, but not get wasted, a lot of people I know don't seem to realize that, we'll have a few drinks, and I've learned to stop, but they'll keep going, eventually I'm driving them home with their head out the window.

Same here 3 years ago, quit all drinking and smoking for about a year and now will have a beer or two about every 6 or so months.

That chart should go into the negatives. I'd rather be sober than to get to the point of puking.
