What if you love the work you do?

Why not freelance and work for yourself then? Or do side projects on your own? I can't imagine loving my work enough to want to sit at an office 13 hours per day, 6 days per week and miss my family, house, hobbies, etc. while padding someone else's pockets while they're off enjoying themselves.

Working long hours for someone else (especially if you're salaried) is nuts. I did it for many years and finally realized I was a fool and was being taken advantage of the entire time.

I suppose that's probably true. If I think of being in their shoes, you go to work all day, get home to your kids/wife... you probably don't feel like spending time with anyone but them and just relax, then go to bed. Cycle continues. It's not a better or worse life, just different.
If not changed, it will become a burden, dozen of users near burnout from family life gathered in L&R thread.

Yea you did do it all wrong....
That is tough to swallow, but brutally true.

Nothing is ever what it once was, especially those vigorous years... but it can be replaced with new vibrancy.
Life is lumped into stages, whatever they may be. It just so happens that the vibrancy peaks 1/4 the way through.

Nothing is never what it once was, especially those vigorous years... but it can be replaced with different vibrator.
