Not for me it isnt. I am posting on a PC, as most people here are. Most people still play some games on a PC. Its not an exclusive if its available on another gaming platform. Its really as simple as that.

Also its, 360+PC vs. PS3+PC for me. The bottom line is, the old argument that the 360 has more exclusives, is no longer valid.

Sorry, I missed how you were the OP who asked this question. Oh, wait, you weren't. This thread isn't about you, sir.

Also, the 360 has more exclusives than the PS3, even with the PC criteria:

(Dammit, the PS3 link is not working right. Click it off the above link.)

180 vs 150. Just saying. Not all those 360 exclusives are great, but sure as hell not all the PS3 ones are, either.

They're also not all exclusives. For many people, such as myself, games are still played on PC's. So for some people, so its a factor. Going by your sig, you play games on the PC too. Or you're just dumb for spending that much on a PC if you dont.

Im done arguing this point.

Also, the 360 has more exclusives than the PS3, even with the PC criteria:

They have RR6 listed for the 360, RR7 should really be called RR6.5, it is just a fairly heavily upgraded version. Same tracks, same cars, just a more in depth coureer mode and the ability to tune/upgrade your cars with winnings. I own both games, while I think it is reasonable to call RR7 exclusive to the PS3, calling RR6 exclusive to the 360 is a bit sketchy. It would be like if the PS3 had say Oblivion GOTY edition exclusive and the 360 had regular Oblivion and you called regular Oblivion 360 exclusive, on a technical basis it is correct, but it is a tad misleading.

Also of note, it is shocking that the PS3 is piling up exclusives at a faster rate then the 360 given its' market position. The 360 has been out for ~4 years, so it is amassing 45 exclusives per year, while the PS3 is gaining 50 per year. Obviously not a big difference, just given the market disparity you would think the 360 would be easily outpacing it(as the Wii is with ~66 per year).

The criterion used in Wikipedia's list are the same as yours. I know, being wrong hurts, but at least gracefully admit it. Bonus points for the ad hom attack, though - resorting to calling people "dumb" is hilarious.

OK... but you'd also be subtracting one out of the PS3 column, too, at least with this example. Isn't Full Auto 2 in the same kind of situation?

The problem with a lot of PS3 exclusives is that they never quite seem to make it to North American. Global exclusive numbers can thus be somewhat misleading.

I say this as someone who is EXTREMELY bitter that Yakuza 3 won't be hitting the USA any time soon.

It may be exactly the same situation, I wasn't pointing it out so much to make it 151 to 180, more as a general 'this list is a rough guide not the gospel truth' :)

Very true, just given the market disparity in terms of installed base I'm a bit surprised that the 360 doesn't have a staggering lead and pulling away at this point(longer on the market plus larger installed base).

I hope Microsoft pinned down the rights on Yaris :p.

There's a lot of sequels and spin offs in that list, and Dead Rising 2 is coming to the PS3 as well, so I dunno that it counts so much as an exclusive anymore. Plus, Dead Rising did come to the Wii as well, at least a variant of Dead Rising.

Those lists on both sides are taking huge liberties with the games on them in a lot of cases. And both have a bunch of stinkers :).

And we are talking about another complete calendar year in release dates between the 2 consoles, so the 360 really only had 30 more "exclusive" titles with a full year on top of the PS3.

I'm just saying, you have to look at this from all sides really, there have to be exceptions, and you can easily look at the PS3's upcoming line up and see that a year from now, they could easily have over 180 exclusives at their point in the 360's production history.

The next installment of Metal Gear Solid won't be a PS3 exclusive, that's a first for the series.

A couple of MGS titles came to the Gamecube, and MGS 2 came to the XBox 1.

This is the first simultaneous release though. I'm curious to see if it's actually a MGS title, or if it's some sort of 3rd person action shooter/God of War fighting type of game with the MGS name on it. They've been pretty tight lipped about it, while we've had a ton of gameplay footage for Peacewalker on the PSP.

Well, I'll say this...even though the PS3 just released the slim, MS is being hella aggressive in marketing the 360. I was browsing some circulars this week (Best Buy, Target, etc) and didn't even see the PS3 listed. Only the 360. Not to mention all the Amazon deals, bundles, price reduction etc. Now I'm interested to see what happens with the Labor Day promotions even though I'm not in the market for a console right now.

Wii completely changed the playing field.

Yeah your right I forgot about those. Only reason I bought a PS3 was for MGS4 and the backwards compatibility to play the other Metal Gear games.

I have a sinking feeling they may do another Prequel type scenario like in MGS3. That seems logical since Raiden was returned to normal at the end of MGS4. You could keep a series alive doing prequels as long as they are done right.
