Nope, Falcon had HDMI as well. You can tell by the 12v amps but that's about it.

No, he's talking about the new Elite packaging. The new Elite boxes (the ones that don't show the Pro anymore) aren't coming with HDMI or Component Cables for some stupid reason.

Checking the amps is still the most sure-fire way of guaranteeing a Jasper though.

Then again I don't put all my games on it at once.

It just depends. I'm not able to install more than one game at a time right now so I'm not sure how much I'd use. But I tend to bounce between games a lot so I'd like to install quite a few.
Plus all the DLC content that I've purchased. 60 GB might be ok but for a little more I'll just go with the 120 and not have to worry about it at all.

The only sub $199 Arcade models I found are on Amazon, but these are the old versions.

20GB drives are cheap on ebay, not sure if I'll ever need anything bigger? $100 difference isn't much that's less than 2 newly released games lol

I guess this is the only way to tell the difference for the Elite model to see if it has the Jasper set-up?

In what world is this even remotely true.

360:

Gears of War
Fable
Forza
Shadow Complex (maybe...)
Halo 3
Halo Wars
Banjo Kazooie
Viva Pinata Series
Forza 2
Dead Rising
Dead or Alive 4

PS3:

Uncharted
Killzone 2
Resistance series
Gran Turismo demo
Ratchet and Clank series
Infamous
LBP
Wipeout
Valkyria Chronicles
Folklore
Fat Princess
MGS4
Demon's Souls (already has reviews, has been imported a lot, and will be out soon)
Warhawk

Fixed your list for you, took out PS3 games that weren't out yet (some I'm not sure of) and added a decent amount of 360 games. Of course, if we really wanted to go toe to toe Wikipedia has lists of the exclusives for each, but I tried to just have the good games. Like I said, I have all three systems, but to say the PS3 has either more, better, or more varied exclusives is just silly - especially when you factor in XBLA.

Splinter Cell isn't exclusive. The new one will be, but apparently you're not interested in putting those up. Mass Effect is on PC, so it isn't really exclusive. Also, my definition of a "good" game is one that, overall, ranks 8/10 or better on average. Otherwise, it's probably not really worth mentioning on this list. Lost Odyssey doesn't quite fit that. Infinite Undiscovery definitely doesn't fit that. Or Chromehounds. Or Blue Dragon. Also, it's Forza 2 that is out...not Forza 3.

I also added and removed some games from the list.

You can fudge the list up any way you want. Either way, they both have plenty of GOOD exclusives.

Have you even seen the PSN games? There's plenty of very good, unique games on there. Maybe not as much as XBLA, but still enough to keep most satisfied.

Lost Odyssey is a good game regardless of what the reviews say. So is Earth Defense Force (Is that even exclusive)

EDF is exclusive, and cheap. I got it with Samurai Warriors 2 bundled for $20 at Amazon, but you can get it for $10-15 by itself from Amazon, Newegg, etc.

Now all I need is a Jasper 360 Elite so I can do more than look at the box art :)

I'll buy a PS3 when the price gets to about $200...maybe one more year.

I have to keep my 360 though...from the AWESOME controllers, Forza, Netflix, etc...I just can't give it up. Not to mention Viva Pinata is like cat nip for my wife.

Blu-ray doesn't even look THAT much better.

What size is your TV, can it do 1080p, and most importantly, what movie did you watch?

I've watched a lot of Blue Ray movies on my friend's 1080p 52" Samsung...and while nice...no doubt...not worth the effort to me. I actually have all my movies ripped from the DVD's on a harddrive hooked to my 360...I prefer that the most as I don't have to sift through my 300+ DVD's to find a movie...only to find out it was one that someone borrowed and haven't returned.

The only game I like on the 360 more than EDF is Fable 2.

EDF is kickass.

Seriously. It isn't the prettiest game but it is so fun. I used to play it at my brothers house but I just got my own copy the other day.

Mod the 360 and get a PS3.

And in Ben's basic argument only 1/3 of 360 owners have Gold, so maybe XBL shouldnt be considered the deciding factor for every 360 vs PS3 argument. I have a 360 and dont even redeem the free 30 day vouchers. I do occasionally play online on PSN, and all the time on PC. Free is better than pay.

Just got a Ps3 slim with free bluray remote. Also picked up Uncharted and Valkyria Chronicles.

What are some good PSN games. I know about pixel junk but I've heard there are a bunch more

Trash Panic and Noby Noby Boy are worth checking out if you like bizarre Japanese games. The latter isn't much of a game, per se, but it's only $5. Trash Panic is like Tetris with trash.

EDIT: Also, Flower.

Fat Princess is the most fun I've had with a PSN game. There are balance issues, and the on line matches are quiite chaotic, but it is a great light hearted although reasonably deep(for a PSN/XBL) capture the flag/domination/deathmatch game.

If you like racing, Wipeout HD + expansion. I find The Last Guy to be quite fun. Zen Pinball is a very well done game if you're into that genre.

I just picked up an Elite today, latest and greatest Jasper unit. My first Xbox 360, previously owned original Xbox and had a PS3 that I briefly owned and sold.

A few things I miss from the PS3 already:

-Quiet, 360 disc drive is loud
-Controller and the features (batteries and USB charge cord)
-PS3 GUI

Sony Style Store had the PS3 Slim on working display got to admit they did a nice job on it, even seems more quiet then the original. Just wish the game library was larger.

Can't say they were flying off the shelf though and even Best Buy had plenty of stock.

We got my brother a 360 Elite today for his birthday. Got him the Game of the year edition with Halo 3 and Fable 2. Was still only 299 and was the only one we could find in Phoenix. Now my 3 brothers, my dad and I have a 360. Gonna be fun playing Forza with them.

DVD vs. Blu-Ray

Sometimes it's not immediately obvious how much difference a cleaner, more defined image can be. Here it definitely is.

Shatter, Elephunk, Stardust HD, Wipeout HD, Cuboid, The Last Guy, Echochrome, Lumines Supernova, Crash Commando, Siren Blood Curse, Super Puzzle Fighter II HD, Zen Pinball, Tekken 5, Everyday Shooter.

There are a lot of kickass PSN games. I probably have over 2 dozen that I've bougtht since I got my PS3.

Seriously ... night and day. I've stopped buying DVDs once I got my PS3 for precisely this reason.

Gears of War, and Left 4 Dead are not exclusives. They're out on the PC. Some of the better 360 "exclusives" are out on the PC. Mass Effect, Halo 1&2, Lost planet, GoW, L4D, etc. Which is where I have played all the above, because I prefer fps games with a mouse/kb. And the ability to choose my server/map I want to play on. And I like free dlc.

Not on the list for the PS3 are, Heavenly Sword, Lair, Motostorm 1&2, and RR7.

The fact is, both systems have a lot of good exclusives. Its a myth that the 360 has more, or better ones. That used to be the case, it no longer is.

Unless the choice is "Xbox 360 vs PS3+PC", it's legitimate to list them as assets in the 360 camp.
