I think I'm addicted to gin and tonics

Not that I've had a lot of them, and no alcohol today, but so far it's the only mixed drink I'd say I really love. Ordered 5 or 6 of them last time I went out with some people.

ive switched from stoli 80 to stoli 100 and i think i like the 100 better. id be fine with one drink where before with the 80 i would drink like three or four to get the same effect.

that bottle is lasting a long time, and its gonna be what i grab when its out.

Good gin is perfectly fine to drink straight.

Vodka, regardless of what you read is just alcohol purified to as close to 100% as it gets and then diluted, even the most expensive ones cost less then one pound per ten gallons to make.

It's just russian home made or moonshine as you like to call it over there, made from anything at all, it doesn't matter, since it's so purified it's usually just yeast and sugar as in Absolut, with the addition of some cow piss or something to make it taste worse than alcohol already does.

Saphire & tonic (+ a pinch of Sprite) is all I've been getting lately. Had about that many as well @ a show this week.

I really should stop ordering it - I don't want it to get boring.

True, but there is other stuff in vodka. I used to work with 100% pure research grade EtOH and it smelled like candy. I never drank it, but we also had access to highly purified deionized water (which apparently tastes like nothing), and could have made the world's most perfect vodka.

And 1L of 100% pure EtOH was something like $7, and that was the expensive stuff. Go down to 99.5% and it dropped off in price quite a bit.
