I think I would like cops if they talked like human beings

I hate how they talk to me. Looking down at me like i'm some sort of criminal.

Do they teach cops in cop school to talk like complete condescending assholes?

Depends on the cops. Yeah after so many years of service they do tend to get that certain voice on like I am talking to you because you have done something wrong. Also most cops have what I call a zero-asshole in about 1.5 seconds. Being respectful can go a long way.

Maybe if you weren't an asshole they wouldn't be an asshole. Chances are they had a reason to suspect you are a criminal if your online behavior is any indication.

Hey man, they went through a lot of community college and (maybe) did some pushups to make their 80k a year to hand out speeding tickets. Show them some RESPECT.

I was waiting at LGA yesterday in the "passenger pickup" area along with many other cars along the curb with our flashers on. I'm on the phone with my gf who had just picked up her bags at baggage claim when I see an NYPD car coming from the rear talking to all the cars at the curb. Said cars start pulling away, so I sit tight as I was blocked in from cars pulling away. The cop finally gets to me so I roll down my window and before I could even say anything, the cop in the passenger seat says "Gotta fucking move kid." I told him I'm waiting for a passenger who just landed and won't be much longer. As he replied "Everyone is waiting. It's a 10 minute limit. Are you really talking on the phone in your car?"..... I almost blew a fucking gasket. Scum of the planet. I did a loop around and NO WHERE does it say 10 minute limit. Also, it's not illegal to be in park while talking on the phone or they wouldn't have these "texting pull off areas" all along the entire NYS thruway thanks to Mr. Cuomo. The guy was a complete piece of trash. America's finest. I'm lucky he didn't pull out his baton and bash me in the skull I guess.

I don't know about your airport, but Phoenix has active loading/unloading only at the terminal. You aren't supposed to park there and wait.

I'm amazed they even let you sit for 10. They don't fuck around about that at NY area airports. Basically if your passenger isn't right there and loading bags you shouldn't be stopped.
