I know, I should have made the stones form nice and smooth and pearl-like, but if I'd done that, then the true purpose of kidney stones would have been wasted.

Thank you for the kind response, and know We are pleased at your display of the kind of persistence necessary to attain your ultimate rewards in heaven. However, piety is something you may consider paying more attention to going forward.

Being the holiday season, We will allow an indulgence and respond that We did, at one time, experiment with round, smooth kidney stones. In fact, We made them grow somewhat oblong in order to make best use of the available space. And that experiment did, in fact, bring the very benefits of an easier and much more pain free passage which you stated. However, there were unintended side effects.

Now, one of the aspects of being Me is judging the ultimate outcomes in relation to Our Grand Plan. And We concluded that Our Grand Plan does not include men masturbating in the yard in order to shoot the neighbor's cat.

I think water is the best bet until you know its composition. Different types of stones are formed under alkaline and acidic environments. You definitely wouldn't want to be drinking apple cider vinegar if you have a stone caused by an acidic environment.

Why would anyone keep going through the agony of stones? Go to a Nephrologist, there is treatment s for it. I used to have them in my 20's. Two pills day, and haven't had one in 19 years now. Pills are cheap too, about $21 every three months.

I had an episode like that when I was 10 yrs old.. rolled around in the kitchen in agony and then it subsided after several minutes. It was on the lower left side of my body

Scary because I've heard eating a lot of nuts can cause them, and I eat probably 2-4 pounds of cashews/peanuts/almonds/pistachios/pecans/hazelnuts and sunflower seeds a month...

Foods rich in oxalate are supposed to be a factor but not all medical experts agree on this, I had one in 2003, woke up to what felt like a sore back muscle, a hot shower didn't help then within 1/2 hour it got severely worse, I had to call an ambulance because I couldn't drive. Once at the hospital I was unlucky in that a major car wreck had happened earlier in the morning and 2 heat attacks as well which meant me sitting in horrific pain for 2 hours, bad enough to induce projectile vomiting, at that point I took the bedframe and began slamming it down violently on the floor for attention, a Dr. finally came over and asked the nurse to see my urine sample, seeing blood he ordered Demerol STAT. The X-ray showed it had traveled to my bladder by this time so they gave me a strainer to take home to catch it in my urine, sure enough the next day it came out (thankfully without any more pain), it was about the size of a BB with sharp edges all over. I've been lucky, about 50% that have had one have more and then your a "stoner", you get them no matter what your diet and fluid intake is, I know a guy who's been cut on 3-4 times because they got way to big to pass or break up with ultrasound, god I pitied that man..

Admittedly I've never been through either event, but I'm sorry, comparison fail here.

With women you're talking about an orifice that is meant to expel objects. When doing so the female body produces a medley of chemical assistance. Guys passing a stone (or several) produce blood and suicidal thoughts. The prostate and a longer urethra (much longer with some of us *cough*) puts male kidney stones on a slightly higher level of agony I'll bet.

I know women who have dropped several kids and can't wait to have more. Someone please show me where, even once, some guy has looked forward to running a chunk of glass wrapped in barbed wire through his wang.

have been in the ER with one who had stones and the doc was a chick who also had gone through both. childbirth ranked much less painful by both.

and now thinking about it, when I myself had to go to the ER about a year ago, the person next to me was this woman making sounds like she was on the bad end of a low budget porno, turns out she was also having stones and when she was getting discharged asked the doc why they couldn't just give her some morphine to take home as it's the only thing that worked on the pain.
