I think I may have eaten something infected with worms, can anyone tell by these pics?

hmmm I can't tell based on that pic...they look OK to me.

I once found a worm living and moving around in a peach I was eating...I saw it and nearly threw up right before I threw it out the window.

Really can't tell. It might be a fungus that attacked the vine. Might be egg sacs of some sort. Might just be a roughed up vine. Just don't eat the vine, you'll be fine. :p

Check the grapes for small holes or signs of insect damage. If you don't see any, I wouldn't worry. They're probably safe to eat.

well you're supposed to eat the purple part, not the stems. so you should be OK. But if they start to grow in you LMK and I'll bring the vid cam so we can watch them eat you alive from the inside out.

Maybe you should wash the grapes. Get a bowl, put some tap water inside, place grapes in bowl, spring some salt (i don't know why, my mom always did this). Wait for a few, then rinse and eat.

You do know that spiders don't eat grapes. Nor do they bore into them. ;)

Even if you did eat them there'd probably be no danger... insects that live in/on fruit would not probably be adapted to living in a human host....You'd just be getting a little extra protein... if that disgusts you.... all I can say is don't EVER eat Fast/processed foods.... and I mean that...

What about the Amazonian Grape Spider?!?!?

There was a web-like something covering 4 or 5 of them. They were only $0.79/lb, which should have been a clue not to buy them. Oh well. :)

You should always wash your fruit before you eat it, not just for bugs, but for any left over pesticides, too. Yummy.

Don't ride a motorcycle in the hills above UCBerkeley. The banana slugs are like huge and just sticky enough to flip off the front tire right in your mouth.

Those worms are OK, they will die by your digestive juices. It's tapeworms and other intestinal worms that you need to worry about.

There's nothing quite like squished banana slug is there?
