I have a P4T533 with a 2.8ghz VID and 768mb of 32bit Rimm4200. I'm gonna dump it soon and go the AMD route. I don't like the idea of not having a reliable source for the ram I already have. Find a stick of 512mb 32bit Rdram for below $300 and in stock, almost impossible.

Well, my pc computing needs are based on the foundation of music recording and some gaming. I was reluctant mostly because my soundcards (Aardvark Direct Pro 2496) were not guaranteed to work together with an AMD64 configuration.
After many attempts to talk to Aardvark's tech support, I was going to give up and go the "safe" route of sticking with Intel. I found a chat tech support line with a custom computer company that specialized in recording, and they have the Aardvark/64 combo available. So I chatted with them, and they said the two would work fine together.
I'm going to keep the AMD64. Thanks again for all your help.
