Ziosystems is gone. The website is down, the phones are disconnected, and the young fellow who started the whole thing has been institutionalized.

The thread over at Gidiontech about it went over five hundred pages, it's an astounding story. That kid lied his way into tens of thousands of dollars worth of credit, with out having a single asset.

institutionalized?!

wow...please...more details:D

I was in my room and I was just like staring at the wall thinking about everything
But then again I was thinking about nothing
And then my mom came in and I didn't even know she was there she called my name
And I didn't even hear it, and then she started screaming: MIKE! MIKE!
And I go:
What, what's the matter
And she goes:
What's the matter with you?
I go:
There's nothing-wrong mom.
And she goes:
Don't tell me that, you're on drugs!
And I go:
No mom I'm not on drugs I'm okay, I was just thinking you know, why don't you get me a Pepsi.
And she goes:
NO you're on drugs!
I go:
Mom I'm okay, I'm just thinking.
She goes:
No you're not thinking, you're on drugs! Normal people don't act that way!
I go:
Mom just give me a Pepsi please
All I want is a Pepsi, and she wouldn't give it to me
All I wanted was a Pepsi, just one Pepsi, and she wouldn't give it to me.
Just a Pepsi.

:music:

I didn't want to be the first to post about the ad, but it was kind of funny. I loved their section about web hosting, how they keep going on and on about how the building is so secure, it'll withstand a Cat-5 hurricaine, but makes no mention of data speeds, prices, anything worthwhile.

This one?
Yes, that thread. I'd been following it up until a few weeks ago when he sent out a spam email to those on his mailing list about the digg code controversy. I even made a post about it on here.

Oh wow, that takes me back!

Good grief, I was a teen listening to that classic ST tune !! I was the only guy in my class who could be found carrying something as diverse as a Run DMC and Metallica-Master of Puppets cassette in my pockets.

Tell ya what is interesting is reading one of those old Comp Shopper mags .. the ones that would make the mailbox lean to one side if it wasn't poured in a solid concrete slab !! We have come a loooong way in a short amount of time.

I still enjoy reclining on a lounger and reading a good hardware mag these days. If any of you have a PC chair more comfortable then my recliner, I'd love to see pics. And no, I do not mean the toilet chair that I'm sure will be posted if I don't mention it.

I followed that post for the first 50 pages or so, then stopped.

What ended up happening? Was he really institutionalized? And was that Pepsi quote from him?

Anyone with updates, please, speak :)

It ended with a whimper, I was hoping for a bang.
The short version is Brads parents had him institutionalized, he escaped and is now on the run. Someone said he was caught and put back in the funny farm, but there was no conformation of that.

The thread is huge, but it's worth the read, the boy behind it all is barking mad, so the few times he posts are golden.

Did he have any money, or was that all bs? How did he pay for the company and advertisements? In what way was he crazy?
