honestly, no offense or anything, but christ that webpage sucks. Your links are fubar and you can't scroll! Honestly, I don't know what that person was seeing in your webpage, but I could make something much better in a few hours. IMO, the menu is just plain annoying. Plus, when your in 1280x1024 (or even 1024x768 for that matter), it's just a bunch of blank space... Just trying to give some constuctive criticism.

I'd suggest:
http://www.htmlgoodies.com : nice site for newbie webmasters
also mebbe a few books from borders. For this design, too, flash would probably be better.

Sorry, but saying "I could make something much better in a few hours" is not constructive criticism. If you're going to insult someone at least post some links to your magnum opus.

Thats exactly the point. How many websites you visit have all the content you want right there in the middle of the screen without requiring any scrolling? Have you ever seen a framing where there may be like 4 stamps in the middle and a HUGE frame around it? Well, it grabs your attention. Sure looks like my site did that to you. Also, do you have anything I can compare to that you've done? Because if so, I'll be glad to improve what I have.

Here's something that just annoys me. Site layout and all aside, why light grey text on white? That's like the most unreadable color combo ever. That's like cyan and light blue...or maroon and red.

I understand your point of view very clearly, I literally hate reading books on this stuff, but in my CS AP course I take, its practically a requirement. I'm the kind of person that likes to learn from looking at other works and figuring out how it works.

ya i know, i HAD to take it , well it was easy and i did well without spending much time on it at ALL. but i am more of a developer than a CREATIVE person, so thatz prolly why i feel that way about it

If everything is weighed by how interesting or boring it is, then there would be no college students cuz introductory courses are almost always boring and tedious.

and are you distinguishing between HTML and web design? Especially considering that web design has little to nothing to do with HTML.

It seems readable to me and on all the computers I've used. Is your monitor's brightness turnedup?

What, you're gonna tell me he hired you because you have a fancy menu that you probably didn't even code yourself?
I don't want to be mean, but I don't see why I would hire someone with a site like you have there. Nothing special there... no server-side scripting, just a bit of JavaScript. It is poorly programmed... you use of tags that are not part of HTML 4.0 anymore (<font>), there are a lot of empty tags like someone said above, etc. What makes your site stand out from the bunch, a "fancy" menu? Come on...

You say "How many websites you visit have all the content you want right there in the middle of the screen without requiring any scrolling?". Well jeez, you don't have any content, just a bunch of links, no wonder no one needs to scroll.

As for the color, it's not my favorite color scheme, but I still think it's okay, it's a style of its own.

If it's like your first site or something, I apologize because it is 100x better than my first sites. But you seem to be somewhat experienced, so I don't think I'll have to apologize...

Nope, the site is my homepage with all my daily links. I hardly ever have to type in an address now. WHen I'm doing a lot of work, it actually saves time. Sure, not a lot, but when I'm in pressure for a deadline, it can help.

Do you have a website? And there is more to why we want to work together, that is just what caught his attention.

Yes, I have a couple of websites. I'll PM you the links tomorrow, I don't want ATOT to kill the bandwith.

Actually I fvcked my server big time today, it won't even boot (this is why I'll send the links tomorrow) hehehe, I changed the file permissions and something just went wrong, I have to reformat tomorrow.
