I think I have hemroids

So about a month or 2 ago when randomly looking at my shit in the toilet, i did a double take and noticed some blood on my crap. it was mixed in w/my urine and poop so it was kinda dark looking.

Since then i've been paying attention pretty much daily to my poops, and watching them. Sometimes when I crap it feels somewhat rough as it's coming out, others it doesn't. Usually when it feels rougher I will see some blood somewhere.

Typically my first log that drops will have no blood on it. Then sometimes I've noticed on my 2nd smaller one that comes out (if at all) sometimes there is a streak of bright blood going down the side of it. Sometimes if a little turd falls out I'll see some bright red blood on that as well. Also when I wipe, sometimes I will see more blood than others on my initial wipe.

This may have been going on for quite some time just I did not pay attention to it. Typically when I crapped (before noticing this) I would only look at the TP like on my 3rd or 4th wipe, not on the first few cause I know there is a lot of crap on it. Over the past year or so I would say that I would see maybe TINY TINY spots of blood on there like once ever few days.

I also have noticed (and had for a while I believe) when I shower that I feel this little thing that almost feels like a tiny "ball on a string" type deal right next my exit hole. I also noticed that after I shower sometimes it feels dry there, kind of like dry skin has a slight burning sensation. I will also get that sensation after I poop sometimes and when I'm done wiping.

The reason I'm getting it checked out now though is because I've been paying attention to it more recently and have noticed that I see blood probably 2 out of every 3 craps, sometimes more than others. I also notice when I feel the roughness that is when I tend to see blood.

I am a heavy lifter and go 4x a week, and I know lifters can develop these.

I have a doctors appointment on Monday at 9am and I am pretty sure it's just hemroids but I want to be sure, and I hate that as a human in my head I am thinking the worse heh.

Just wondering if anyone on these boards suffered from hemroids (or another issue) and if so, do these symptoms sound at all similar to yours?

Yeah, this definitely sounds like an anal fissure. I've had both (sadly) and the solution is pretty much the same for both. Take some fiber (slightly more than what it says on the bottle at first). That'll help soften it enough so you feel almost immediate comfort (by the next bowel movement). Then take the recommended amount until you think you're alright.

you probably have the roids'. Could be a polyp though too. Go to a proctologist and have them check it out.

Likely they will give you an initial screening and then suggest that you go through a colonoscopy.

I strongly suggest going through with that if they do indeed suggest it, it will clear your mind GREATLY.

Otherwise you will constantly be asking yourself those what-if questions.

This is something you can't self diagnose because it's impossible to see inside and figure out what is going on (fissure, roids, polyps) without putting a camera up there.

Internal hemorrhoids cause nearly no pain at all when sitting, standing, or while active.

The symptons OP describes could very well be hemorrohoids

The painful sitting symptoms you describe are external.

well like i was saying in the OP, i feel a little external thing near my opening that pretty much feels like a little ball almost on a string, it's hard to explain. that is also where i will sometimes feel a very slight burning sensation after i go to the bathroom and wipe.

the past 2 days i have not seen any blood while going number 2 and i've also not "pushed" like i normally do, kind of just letting it go out.

i am going tomorrow morning to see my general practice doctor who is going to do some exam on me, but after talking to a friend who had roids as well as a fissure, the symptoms i am describing match his symptoms 100% so i'm pretty confident it's one or the other, or both.

well..quick reading, treatment for an anal fissure and treatment for hemorrhoids (when both are in mild stages) is basically the same. eat lots of fiber, crap when your body tells you to crap (so you arent straining yourself) and so on. the burning sensation is normal... when i have an anal fissure (i seem to have a chronic problem with not eating enough fiber for a period of time..back comes the anal fissure) and then i eat some spicy mexican food, it BURNS bad when it comes out the other end.

ideally, you should not have to "push" at all during crapping. the strain is what causes anal fissure and hemorrhoids. so... dont do that :D listen to your body, it'll tell you when it's time for a bowel movement, and pay attention to it.

the "ball on a string" sounds like an overgrown skin tag.

going to a doctor is always the best choice, but i do self-diagnosis cause i'd be so embarrassed talking to the doctor about anal fissures and the like.

well yea i just got back from the docs and it's the roids heh. he basically said to just eat more fiber and that he doesn't recommend a stool softner at this point just due to the symptoms, and not to strain when crapping.

it was awkward bending over and putting my elbows on the table lol.
