I think I have gallbladder stones

I've been having a sharp pain in my stomach pretty much everytime I eat some kind of fatty food, that comes and goes, and makes it hard to even stand up, since the pain is so intense. I ususally throw up and have dirrehea afterwards too. Doctors haven't been able to figure out what it is, but I checked up gallbladder stones on the 'net, and it sounds exactly like it. I'm not overweight (well, maybe a few pounds), don't have diabetes, so I don't get why I'd get this at such a young age.

how obese are you?

I'm 150 and 5'6.5".

hm. must be genetic predisposition to gallstones. you don't fit the classic mold for gallstone patients.

either way, you should eat healthier and get more exercise. give it a try for your problem... it might help.

do you have any gastric issues? ulcers? digestive problems?

I would like to see you pass gallstones through your "pp". That would be a medical marvel.

Gallstones are passed from another orifice, if they are passed at all.

Doctors haven't been able to figure out what it is...

Have they tested for gallstones?

No, they haven't. I went to the doctor about it last year, and I assume they just came to the conclusion I was too young to have gallstones, so they eliminated it. I'm going for an upper GI next week, so we'll see what comes up.

i get this all the time when i eat too.

it is always when i stuff myself so much to the point of almost hurting ( i never puke but get cramps and runs after i eat).

stop stuffing yourself so much, you don't HAVE to clean your plate.

yeah exactly. cramps and runs on and off for 2-3 hours, you feel like you have to puke when you get the cramps. wait a few hours and it is gone.

always when i gorge myself too. i haven't noticed if it is isolated to certain foods or not.

It doesn't necessarilly happen if I eat a lot. Sure, it happens then too, but for example, about 6 months ago, I was at Fridays, and I had one chicken sandwich + fries, and there it goes...

I suspected that I was having problems with gallstones last year. My wife (a nurse) was nearly positive that's what the problem was and that given the frequency and severity of the problems, I almost certainly faced surgery. I searched the net a bit and found some home-remedies that supposedly help. It included increasing the amount of olive oil in my diet. (Plus it included doing a couple shots of virgin olive oil) That was the only modification I really carried through on, and I've been symptom free for quite some time. I figured "what I have got to lose" in attempting it...

those signs almost the same what my brother had (vomit and dirrahea with sign of blood within). They found he has early stage of ulcers. Right now, he is taking medications for it (Anti-acid or acid reducer). Do a blood test and see what is going on...

My Neice had similar symptoms when she was 13/14. Drs couldn't figure it out, but they started doing Dietary adjustments and found Dairy and other Food types were causing it. Not sure if they ever figured her problem out, but after a few years she's still alive! 😀

Well the signs and symptoms vary from person to person, but what you have just described sounds exactly like gall bladder problems. Anyone can get them, but those who are at highest risk are caucasian women ages 20 - 50. Things can trigger gall bladder stones, rapid loss of weight and being on a high protein diet. Obesity, eating alot of high fatty foods, Cirosis of the liver due to disease or medication that takes a heavy toll on your liver and gall bladder.

The docs can do blood tests and check your liver and gall bladder function. They can also due ultrasound on you. Some people who have gall bladder stones can have them as tiny as a spec of sand, all the way up to golf ball size.

I wouldn't wait on getting some testing done for your gall bladder if you think you are suffering from symptoms related to.
