I just bought a Chieftec TH-101 case for my new Athlon Socket A 1GHZ. I am not looking to overclock, but the only fan on the case is the one on the Power supply. There is no vents at the front and there is no exaust fan. I do have a fan and heatsink for the socket CPU ofcourse!

Will I still be able to run my Altlon or should i buy another case?

Me thinks you already know the answer, is your ps 300w/Athlon approved?

I personally, would not purchase any ATX/other case that was not designed w/some cooling in mind, plus a high-quality ps.
You may be able to modify the case for better cooling, if you are stuck with this case and no alternatives.

You can go to www.amd.com/ and check for their approved list of cases and power supplys.
Also there is a lot of good recomendations for mb's and hsf's and other components.

I'm no help with your question, but where did you get a Chieftec case?

If that's a FSP psu, then it is probably decent, That's Fortron/source, a good brand.
