Just got a mason jar today. I figure besides having intercourse with my cousin, there is nothing left to do. I Went rafting on the Gauley, went bear hunting, and now I got me some shine.

I am actually going to bridge day on the New this weekend. That should be fun. A county fair with people base jumping off one of the world's highest bridges.

I've lived here for 32 years and have never done any of those things. I suck as a West Virginian but I have seen Jesco in a Walmart.
 
I got some Georgia moonshine when I worked the Atlanta auto show 2 years ago - got it from a local dealer rep named "Jeep Joe", he was a great guy. The shine was made from apples - no bubbles upon agitation, settled well, looked like vodka, smelled like whiskey and tasted pretty damn good with a little bit of apple.

I wish I could've brought some home, but we finished that stuff off in the first evening.

Bridge day is not a county fair. Its just a celebration (flea market) where you can walk across what was up until recently the longest arch style bridge in the world. I know, I grew up there. Once you've seen a few B.A.S.E. jumpers go splat and freeze your ass off on the gorge once, you dont really feel the need to go back.

Practitioners of this simple test sometimes held that if a radiator coil had been used as a condenser there would be lead in the alcohol, which would give a reddish flame. This led to the phrase: "Lead burns red and makes you dead." [11] and "what burns blue will make your blues go away"[citation needed] These tests are NOT reliable to test the purity of moonshine or other distilled alcohol, since the flame test, while able to detect fuel oils, does not detect methanol.
