How are you going to pay rent? Cash advance some credit cards?
I have no idea. I hope to get an emergency loan from the school. They loan up to $100 for a month with no interest so I might take advantage of that. With that $100 and the 23.5 hours I did get paid for, I should be good.

Well if that doesn't work do you have a credit card you can cash advance? Your situation sucks pretty bad and I would be VERY pissed. Get some dirt on your boss(such as he likes 16 year olds) and blackmail him for several years. j/k

i get bi weekly.
i hate it.
monthly would just be a nightmare :/

WOt? Monthly is the best!

why best?
what if your resources run low because of an emergency?
yet no money comes in during the entire month period.
that's sew brutal.

I get paid bi-weekly and my friends in the same company but in Europe get paid monthly. They hate it. Kind of hard to string out the budget over the month especially if something unexpected comes up. One of them came over to the states and likes the pay cycle much better.

Don't think I could do with weekly though. Don't really see the advantage there.

Do you mean REAL timecards?? We have that thing you punch in electronically with a code, does it all by itself. I don't think I have ever seen an actual paper timecard.

Thing is - everyone's argument against monthly is that there is no cash for emergencies.

What happened to saving for an emergency? I have 1/4 of my yearly salary saved ready for such an occurance.

You have 100's of 19" LCD's, color lasers, etc.... but you're still on archaic paper time cards? LOL!

Sorry dude.

I log in my hours at work - it's the best way I've seen yet. So simple, and you get paid exactly for what you did. As long as you know how the payroll works, you're fine. It's usually biweekly here as well, except around xmas time for some reason they really fscked up the payroll schedule, and one of the paydates only accounted for ONE week, and then another one will account for 3 weeks. All screwy, especially when you want to buy gifts for people.. grrr :|

Anyway.... a job is a job.

Time cards are only used by hourly employees which are not very numerous.

Yeah my friend's boss lost his 40 hours of work during winter vacation. And that week there was a day where 80 kids came in at once and they had to serve them pizza. He served them all in 15 minutes. He made 17 pizzas, 15 minutes . . . Yeah, Boomers sucks.

Killing your boss can't be good for getting payed, but you will probably feel better right? Plus rent is then on the state...

Sometimes I love working for a small business..

No stupid by the book procedures without appeal.

I can actually borrow money from my boss anytime I need it.

Your management sounds like a bunch of tools. I would raise hell if they delayed my paycheck when I turned in the timesheet early like you said.

The time card is a legal binding document that you worked that time and owed that money in a timely manner. If you have been having this problem with them in the past I would make a copy of the timecards before you turn it in. You have the right to call your local police and have an Officer with you when you demand payment. I suspect you would no longer be wanted by the Managment to work there but why would you want to work for these people anyway with the way they hold your money due to you?

So I just spoke with the head payroll person and she says that it is my bosses fault afterall. According to her, my timecard was turned in by my boss on December 24. However, this is impossible because my boss was on vacation. Why can't people admit that they screwed up?
