I think FedEx has failed me

Basically im expecting a package today, an important one for my girlfriend for x-mas because she is going away for the holidays with her family tomorrow. Normally packages from fedex go to the Fedex center near my house in Santa Ana, CA and gets on a truck from there... but when i checked the tracking info the package went to Placenta, CA.. which is over 15 miles away about a 30 min drive. Out of the hundreds of fedex packages none of them have gone anywhere but the center in Santa Ana. This is important because i plan on giving it to my gf before she leaves tomorrow morning.

Should i be worried and call fedex? Or is this normal because they are dropping stuff off along the way.. the tracking says it was on the truck since 8:11 am and it should be here by now (5:05)

If they say it is on the truck; then allow them to attempt to deliver it.

If it does not show up tonight, call the FedEx CSR and explain the situation. They will put out an alert for the item. The local center will ge the alert first thing AM. They will call you if requested and you can make arrangements for it to be pulled and held for you to pick it up.

Well, they get bogged down this time of year. Just because it got on the truck at 8Am doesnt mean anything. They are not going to go directly to your house. Just wait till the end of the day, say 7 or 8PM wherever you live. If it doesnt show up then give them a call.

woot fedex came through after all. Shoulda never doubted =P

feel kinda feel sorry for the driver, such a long drive back and he seemed nice.
