I think DrPizza's kids gave my son ideas

No Lifer
i was cleaning up after breakfast.

well the kids were running around the house free. I had my camera out taking pictures (daughter is in girl scouts. were taking pictures to send to Grandpa).

well my son (16 months) decided that it has to be flushed down the toilet.

luckily it didn't fit. but now its not working (not that it was working perfectly before). Also seems the 2GB Compact flash mem card i had in it is not working either.

sigh.

ohwell. now i know what to have my wife get me for Xmas!

Take the battery out, remove the memory card, place it in front of a fan on slow for a couple of days. You might get lucky. We just had a puppy pull the cord on a cordless phone. (the plug in cord to the base; yeah, I know that sounded weird) By bad luck, the mop bucket was full and directly below it. I picked it out of the garbage (wife figured it was toast), dunked it in clean water a few times to get out the murphy's oil soap and any other stuff that might create a film when it dried, took a few screws out to open it, and left it to dry for a week. 1 week later, it works good as new.

Good luck.

When we were little kids, my brother got this for Christmas, and our 3 year old cousin was apparently pretty jealous, since he attempted to sentence it to a watery grave and left it for dead in the bowl before noon.

The truck survived but always sounded sickly after that.

The CF card should be fine. Just dry it. Many people, including myself, have run USB flash drives through the laundry and they were OK.
