The best part with using a laser is I don't think it would really draw blood so you would not have too much of a mess to cleanup.

It's a matter of when, not if, someone decides to use a laser as a weapon for something like a sniper/shooter type attack. Imagine the confusion it would produce, when people are screaming in pain, falling to the ground with really impressive injuries, open flesh going several inches deep, bleeding profusely, nobody knows what the hell is going on, there is no "shot" to indicate what is happening or the direction of the danger. Completely silent, with few cues to the directionality. Scary.

Yep, it's scary to think what could happen if criminals decide to start using lasers. Even 1w ones can ruin someone's life by instant blindness for good. Honestly I would rather be shot in the head than be blinded. Imagine criminals bringing high powered lasers to stadiums and other areas that have lot of people. Worse part is they probably would not do as much time as if they brought a gun and killed people yet many people would have their lives pretty much ruined. May as well be dead.

If more laser crime was to happen they'd probably make them illegal too then people who want to use them for legit purposes would be penalized for it.

Woah that's awesome. So basically, a terrestrial Deathstar tractor beam system. 😱 Hopefully they shut all the exhaust ports so some tempermental teenager does not throw a wrench in their operation. :biggrin:
