I laugh overhearing it, then my dad says "What's that mean?" I proceed to say "Uhhh that she's dirty?" And he says "Yeah but I don't get it." :|

Common sense and street smarts were not prevalent in the 50s and 60s apparently.

I think my dad just didn't get out much as a child/teen/young adult and doesn't have that much street smarts based on all the experiences like this.
