The HP gains aren't in the intake/filter, it's in the stickers. The tester failed to affix to proper stickers to the vehicle before putting it on the dyno.

It's the K&N sticker that comes with a K&N CAI that's giving people these power gains. Some people just aren't good at K&N sticker installs.
