i suck at laser tag, any tips? come on in!

continually strafe circles around the guy, being sure to jump every now and then to keep his gun pointed away from your head, while at the same time keeping your crosshairs on his head.

be crouched almost all the time.... and of course.. don't forget to strafe back and forth jumping occasionally.... and there's burst fire for better accuracy... have your pistol ready to draw

When you pull the trigger, the laser shot isn't an instantaneous thing like a bullet. It's a beam, and it remains on for about 1/4 second after you squeeze the trigger. Learn to use this to your advantage and sweep across your target with the beam for a better chance of scoring a hit. Also, most lazer tag places make you put on a vest with several sensors on it. The sensors are not all worth the same amount of points. Go for the chest for the highest score. Other than that, it's just a matter of reflexes and accuracy.
 
If you wanna really be cheesy, cover up the sensors. There are usually sensors on the side of the gun, your back, and the front. Cradle the gun like you would a baby to cover up your sensors (the gun should cover the front sensor and if you cradle the gun correctly it should cover the gun sensor). If you have to shoot, turn your body sideways to the target to shoot (make sure your back it to a wall is possible so they can't hit the back sensor). It's really lame, but there were a LOT of people who played this way where I went and it was many times more difficult to hit them.

If you wanna play fair, the sweeping advice is a very good tip if you aren't doing that already.
 
As mentioned earlier, always stay low and remember to keep up a volume of fire. Unless shots or limited. In which case, shoot at the sides of obstacles, where the possiblity of a person hiding is high.

Does Pokemonlover care about accuracy? Or does he just want a bunch of kills?
 
I have found that prominent breasts make it more difficult for your opponent to hit you. I suppose it's the angle.

Sure as hell not going to get myself breasts just to play laser tag 😉

Anyway, keep moving. Most people just sit still in a corner, or presume someone will stand still when spotting an enemy. When you move up to them while shooting you will startle most of them, and gain a few 10th of a second.
Retrace your steps. You quickly walk around in a circle, then almost a circle, shooting everyone in sight, then turn around and shoot em in the back while they presume you will come again from the same direction. (Only works if you can indeed walk a circle)
If you know a good hiding place, presume they know it too. Fire into it without even looking, just presume someone will be hiding there.
Fire over great distances if you see someone and they aren't looking in your direction, you may get a lucky shot. Don't if they look in your direction and your position sux.
Take chances. Most people won't, and will presume others will not either. Step into an open space next to some small corridors with loads of hiding space, and shoot all those aiming at the corridors.
Don't do the marine crap of sticking your gun around a corner first. It usually has censors on the sides too, and it's therefor easy as hell to win from a bunch of marines.
Learn to hit the shoulders. Most assholes cover up the censors on their gun with one hand, while holding the other arm over the censor on their breast, covering one shoulder censor with the other hand. One shoulder censor will remain free at all times that way.

And finally, the supercheat: It doesn't use lasers. Get a programmable remotecontrol, and fire into it with the gun, recording the frequency. The gun only has a small beam, those controls will hit everything within a certain radius 🙂

Edit: Oh, and if you are tall: many places have not too high walls, just lift your gun and sweep down 🙂

Fcuk that! Getting hit with a paintball doesn't hurt if you're armored up properly...I wore a winter jacket under my paintball camo when I last played (last year), and paintballs sometimes even bounced off of me! It was awesome, going into a hailstorm of pink pellets and getting like, 4 kills before capturing the flag and winning 😀 Now, getting hit in the face...THAT smarts 🙂 Lucky I have always had my goggles...

As for Lazer Tag, I play often in Manhattan, and when I play with my friends, we're CRAZY. We make sure to move as fast as possible (if they allow running, DO SO), we SCREAM at the top of our lungs to throw ppl off (we're Tick fanatics, so we scream "SPOON!" 😀), and we fire really quick, really fast...the sweeping motion is great...also, if they have the "generator" thing or "home base" that gives you lots of points when you hit it, run there, wail on the ppl who protect it, and while they have hit-stun, bombard the base...this works like JESUS if there's a teammate you're playing with to cover your back...and also, if they have the "Eliminator" status (you have unlimited bullets, and you can kill in one shot/force a recharge), make sure to combine it with these tactics to get an assload of points.

Do these, and you WILL always be in the top three players. Seriously 🙂
