I stopped using antiperspirant

I ran out of my arm & hammer deodorant/antiperspirant. I had some spare deodorant stored away but it doesn't contain aluminum zirconium, and I was getting BO masked by some fragrance by the end of the day.

So I picked up some more deodorant the other day, but decided to try an all natural kind with no aluminum compounds, since A. I'd rather not get Alzheimer's, B. I'd rather not get armpit cancer, and C. I like the idea of letting my pheromones run free to attract the womenz.

Unfortunately, its 11:53pm, and I now have a faint whiff of armpit BO. Its not horribly bad, but noticeable if you're close to me. 🙁

That is all.

i had this issue earlier this month.

the only solution is to buy some real deodorant. there another stinky hippie on here that was saying something about your BO acting as natural pheromones, but I have never found feminine bodily odors to be appealing.

Check out some salt crystal deodorant spray. I use it and it lasts ~12 hours. I'm allergic to the chemicals in normal deodorant so I have to use the stinky hippie stuff 😀

Either he's flat out wrong or you misunderstood... its not the BO that is the natural pheromone. You excrete quite a bit of pheromone through your armpits, and armpit hair is supposed to help distribute it into the air. The problem is, bacteria thrive on the sweat and warm moisture of your armpit, which in turn produces the smell. So the trick is suppressing that bacteria while allowing the pheromone to excrete. This natural stuff I'm using worked most of the day but has since worn off. 🙁

I tried that once and I have to say I agree, I didn't have an odor problem - but I sweated profusely. Perhaps I should use both.

have you tried squeezing the pores in your armpit? it's amazing how much deodorant residue accumulates there.

the only other alternative i've been contemplating is using a topical antibiotic. the smell is most likely from surface bacteria chilling in the pits, so no bugs theoretically means no smell. i'm thinking topical clindamycin...

😕

You could try drysol. You put it on at night before you go to bed, and you literally will not sweat (at least not under your arms) for the next couple days.

What happens when the bugs gain resistance? Yikes.

I've been using this odorless Mitchum roll-on anti-perps + deoderant stuff that's pretty strong.

As weak as the human sense of smell is, I have a hard time believing pheromones do anything for us. The idea just reminds me of spammers I get trying to sell me pheromone scram crap.

I used to sweat alot under my arms, it was seemingly worse when I was in a cold room for some reason, so I tried the Drysol treatment. Didn't work for me, but what did work was simply to stop using deodorant or antiperspirant/deodorant for a long period of time. Don't know what the issue was, but I didn't smell and I stopped sweating.

I don't know what it is about deodorants, but after a while one brand will seemingly stop working. So I'll switch around, or not wear any for a few weeks, and it resets my body chemicals or something. I dunno.

Are you still using that chalky deodorant shit? You know there are brands that don't leave any residue?

i hope you don't cook in aluminum pans either. 😉

TAG has some nice smelling deodorant. I'm gonna send you some for Christmas ya wanker. 😛

you aren't gonna attract a woman when you have BO. i don't think pheromones emanate from stinky armpits. 😛

I've found that certain shirts make me sweat more. It's weird. Kinda frustrating too.

I need to wear all 100% cotton or I sweat like a baby left alone in a hot car.
