so i have this mini fridge that has a freezer section which i've never really used. when i opened it up, it's just a huge bolcks of ice. being that i am moving, i wanted to get the ice out out, so i used a flat screwdriver and stabbed the ice block to death... i mean, to chip away at the ice block. now after chipping away, it seems i must have hit a tube or pipe and i heard some hissing. i believe it was the refrigerant gas leaking out. i googled to see if refrigerant gas is poisonous, and it's not (though it's not recommend that you inhale it). my question is, should i still keep the fridge? i don't think i see any danger in keeping it around in the garage to keep extra drinks cold. thoughts?
cliffnotes:
pierced a tube/pipe in mini fridge freezer
refrigerant gas leaked
is it safe to still use?
