I've encountered some colognes that smell great in the bottle...but on me, they smell like insecticide...I just avoid MOST scents beyond my anti-perspirant.

me too.

op, look into old spice products. i am not kidding. get the body wash from menards for cheap and use their deodorant too. their "after hours" scent is amazing. so is the fiji scents.

i guarantee you will get girls saying to you "mmm you smell so good!"

then if i go out, i spray on a little adidas cologne... its cheap and smells great

could be worse.

you could smell like schneiderguy.

it is.. but the way i see it- girls dress nice and wear perfume to make us guys more attracted to them. i appreciate that. im just returning the favor😀

IMHO while scented body wash is better than smelling like despair soaked in bacon grease, the scents play to the lowest common denominator since it pretty much smells good/ok on anyone. I think that when you find a cologne that you like, and works on your skin, it's a bit more striking. I look at it like this, most people look good in blue but if EVERYONE was wearing a blue shirt it would get pretty dull. But if you are the ONE person wearing something other than blue because it works best for YOU, then it makes you stand out.

Am I saying cologne will get you chicks? Hell no.

What I'm saying is, just like having my own sense of style, having a signature scent is something I like to do since it helps make a lasting impression.

You guys enjoy smearing that aluminum all over your skin? 😵 I quit using deodorant a long time ago...but then again I don't really stink.

Same here. I use castile soap for deodorant, as well as for soap/shampoo/laundry detergent.

Yeah 1 girl will say that and everyone else will have to suffer through your obnoxious chemical odors just so you can have a .1% chance of getting laid with whatever slut is into your nasty cheap cologne.

That may have been a little harsh but I really hate all this old spice and axe stuff that people feel the need to douse themselves in. I don't want to smell you period.

Try stopping slathering yourself in chemicals. Unless you have a really dirty job, there is no reason to use lotion, shaving cream etc.
Shower in water only, wash your hair every second day instead of every day, use a deodorant, and wash your hands in soap only.
Your body is perfectly capable of functioning without 4 different types of lotion applied to it every day.
Try this for a week or two.

Uhh, "water only?" You do realize that his "body wash" is just liquid soap, right? You basically told him not to use soap when showering but he can use it on his hands. 😕

People told me I smelled weird when I started using Old Spice body wash. I stopped using it and they said I smelled normal again. Maybe its the Old Spice?

Hmm you guys might be right on second thought... 😳 I had to quit using deodorant because it made me itch real bad.

The same thing happened to me, along with breaking out and rashes, so I can only use a few types/brands. Try clear, unscented varieties like Mitchum.

Anti-persperant is the stuff with Aluminum, so I don't wear it.

I wear deodorant. You gotta do something though. A shower lasts you 2-4 hours in the summer.

try womens then. dont be embarrassed about it. i tried degree once and it gave me a huge rash... it was awful and i wont ever buy that stuff again.

old spice has been tops for me. i dont always buy it cause its pricey, but i always go back to it and i always feel the most confident when i use it. i know they have gimmicky ads, but the product is the real deal. old spice never used to be a fad, it was always trusted.

I have pretty dry skin in general. If the scratching breaks the skin, I usually use a first aid ointment with aloe, in lieu of antiperspirant, for a couple of days. (Stand back!)

If it doesn't clear it up in a couple of days, it may be time for some lamisil.

(Jock itch? On your armpit? It's more likely than you think. I'm not saying it's happened to me, but I know this guy...)

Not all of them, if you dig around and find some not-famous brands you can get anti-persperant without alum.
