4th of July is today, and I work at the local Sunglass store. It's going to be packed and once again they will screw me and let me close all by myself. This happened Sunday and I had a nervous breakdown from lack of help.

Anyways there is a 17 year old girl who is on academic probation and claims she needs to go to "Jury Duty" of Teen Court, 5PM at the local high school. She was supposed to be there till 7-8pm. I'm there from 2-10. WTF is that about?

Hmm. In my area school already ended, and summer school begins on July 5th... but I dont think you'd have school on the 4th.
 
Ah, the memories of my mom and dad loading us up in the car every 4th of July to get some new Frogskins from Sunglass Hut . .


. . .err . . How busy can the local sunglass shop be? Stop whining and go to work. Or quit. Stop acting like you have no choice.

Been working 22 days in a row because the main manager had heart troubles. It's been me closing everyday, the other manager opening everyday and this one high school girl working 6 days a week.

It's BS and I'm about to quit I'm fed up with it. I've only been there a month and seeing as how people do what they please leaving me the guy to get screwed makes me just wanna toss in the towel.

It's teen court, but held at a local high school on July 4th at 5pm? BS

That's perhaps the most creative load of BS i've ever heard. Just down show up yourself, and say you had jury duty too, and see what the boss does. Obviously he'll either have to fire you both or suck it up and hire some more reliable people.

Haha, no, ruin her right now and explain that you don't have to go to jury duty if you're under the age of 18. What if she tries to leave while you're not looking?
