That can't be healthy for me. I dont know, maybe I just needed to catch up on sleep. Funny thing is that I dont feel wide awake at work this morning, and I'm not really tired either. I just feel drowsy.

I can't win. Usually, I get 5-6 hours of sleep and then I'm tired all day long. 11.5 hours of sleep, and I'm drowsy. I'll shoot for 9 hours tonight.

It is possible to sleep TOO much. Also, maybe you have sleep apnea.

Its impossible for me to sleep for more tha 7 hours. Don't ask why, it just is. Anway, I've been running on 3 hours of sleep a day for the last 2 weeks. I'm always drowsy.

I can't sleep more than 9 hours these days even if I wanted to. But typically, when I slept 9+ hours, I felt worse than when I slept for fewer than 6 hours. Sleeping too much just makes me feel really drowsy and worthless. And it's hard to shake it off. When I don't get enough sleep, I at least feel pretty good after a few hours of being awake. My sweet spot is about 7.5 hours.

Lucky you, doesnt really matter when I go to sleep I always wake up at 6:20 every day on the weekends. I can go back to sleep but I always wake back up every 2-30mins so its not really sleeping.

5-6 hrs leaves me groggy and unfocused all day. Simple tasks such as, for example, counting to 10, would take a lot of concentration, or else I could forget either just the previous number or else the fact that I was counting at all.
7hrs, and I'm at least functional. 8hrs and I feel reasonably awake. Up to 10hrs, and I feel genuinely awake and calm.
The longest I've ever slept continuously, at least as an adult and not while sick, was about 14 hours. When I was much younger I was hospitalized with some intestinal infection, may have slept longer than that.

Might want to try Tylenol Simply Sleep.

I used this product for a few months. Although it didnt help me fall asleep any faster, it did put me into a deep sleep. I woke up late a few times while taking this product.

My sleep schedule is so f'd up. I get home from work and fall asleep for 3 hours, get up, do some shit, then end up getting like 4 more hours of sleep before work. So that's 7 hours, should be good, but it feels more like 2 hours when I get to work.

Interesting. I need to get to the VA docs to get something prescription strength. I might give this stuff a try too though. Thanks.

you take the pills?

I can barely get mroe than 6 hours of sleep--no matter when I crash (It's almost impossible for me to fall asleep before midnight)

I think Einstein slept 12 hours per night. not that it matters

No, I dont take any pills. On Friday and Saturday nights, I always sleep for at least 10 hours. It's uncommon for me to do that during the week though, just because Im too busy with errands and tasks after work.

I do too.
But still, I slept for 12 hours last Friday night (what I call sleep, getting up every hour or two). By the weekend I am exhausted, totally drained, seems I need the extra sleep I get then to re-charge my rather weak "batteries".

I hope it's not unhealthy, because I've been doing that everyday for a few weeks now with 12 hours of sleep a day. Yay for the break between quitting summer job and going back to college.
