Wonder what in the hell he was gonna do with it?, prolly sell it to some nut-job because they are possibly endangered and illegal to hunt.
 
Wikipedia says they are on the Least Concern list. Meaning they arent even close to endangered.

I dont have a problem with the species being threatened, its just seems really stupid. And it was also in the news so I thought I'd complain here.

Not endangered at all, they are quite prominent in KY, have seen several as roadkill. Unfortunately because they are a beautiful species of feline.
