I bought a p5ld2 and forewent a board with dual pcie x16 because I thought that I would never get a dual card setup but now I'm thinking of going to a triple monitor setup and I sure could use an extra pcie x16 slot. Why don't manufacturers make any pcie 1x or 4x graphics cards? I can still use PCI but it's just not as cool.

So dual pcie is useful even if you don't have a dual video card setup.

Thus ends my public service announcement.

There are a couple of PCIe 1x vid cards, but they are heavily overpriced. Your dilema is a perfect example of why I buy things with a "better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it." mentality, if the cost difference is acceptable.

Yeah, I'm going triple monitor, and I wish I had an SLI board right about now. :( PCIe 6200s are cheaper than PCI ones.
