Yeah good forbid a property owner needs to maintain a fence.

It's the same mentality as just leave hot objects and poisons out. If your 2 year old gets into them, that'll teach em.
 
We have a piney squirrel problem. The liltte bastards bastards get in the the walls of my place, my landlords place and destroy insulation, wires, siding and whatever else they can gnaw on. They alos chew the wiring on cars. When we see them in the trees, we shoot them.

I guess my question to you neckarb is, how do we go about building an electric fence around the trees? Maybe we should just chop down the trees so they will find a new place.

Cost is absolutely a factor on a large property:

Choice A: Spend $1000+ erecting and maintaining a 9-line electric fence (adhering to Canadian standard to keep out coyotes) + introducing pesticides/herbicides/rodent sterilants to the environment for proper maintenance.

or

Choice B: Spend $0.25 for a bullet and receive a free meal + bones for the dog.

But keep touting your electric fence for coyote solution and let us know when you come back to reality.

Also you don't have to put up an electric fence for the full perimeter. Just protect the chickens.

If you have coyotes packing on your cows, you do indeed have a problem.

Most here I bet have ghetto farms.

I like to eat. Animals are food, and they're good.

I live in town now, so I don't have any predators to worry about, but we do get mice and rats on the yard/garden from time to time. You can bet your ass that if they're eating my tomatoes, I'm gonna set traps to kill them.

Good. I'm glad you finally came around.

Then again, I was well trained to kill humans at one time...and did a very good job of that. I'm a firm believer in the Death Penalty, and think its use should be expanded.
