To me, it looks like it's showing an Aussie sitting in the middle of a crowd full of opposition supporters at some sports match (an international sports match), and to try and avoid conflict, he gives them KFC.
Yes, maybe it's playing on the black people love chicken stereotype, but KFC is all about people loving chicken.
Possibly looks like it's supposed to be at a cricket match. It has nothing to do with being civilised, and everything to do with a bloke sat in the middle of a crowd of opposition supporters and not wanting to get on their bad side.

I also laughed when they mentioned african americans.
They're black. At best they can be called afro-carribean, probably, but there's no way to know that, so they are just black.

Here is an ad from foxtel, its annoying more than racist

there is another ad where the same guy goes to the carribean and there are clear drug references.
