...how come companies who consistently try to keep the government out of their business are the first ones to go running back when things don't go their way? We have this big local furniture reseller here in Colorado and probably other states called American Furniture. They bitched when local government tried to regulate some zoning issues that were not in their interest, and they basically said boo hoo, keep the government off of our loading docks. A year later, when the Denver Post bought the Rocky Mountain News and raised the rates on their newspaper ads, Jake Jab (yep, that's his name) from American went running to the government to regulate ads sales.
Here's a clue big business: If you're not going to play ball when it impacts you negatively, don't expect anyone else to haul out their catcher's mitt when you want to change things. If your system isn't working anymore, change YOUR system, not the other guy's. If you can't change your system to work the way you want, maybe it's time to go into a new business. I don't care about your music sales, I listen to talk radio. I don't care about pirating your movies, I watch Fox News. Your stuff doesn't interested me, I'm not in your primary market, so leave my stuff alone.
