I saw the little child crying for the burns and another without a hand, thinking about the future of these people after the war

Let me ask you something, if our country was under control of someone that would kill you in an instant if you were even suspected of plotting against them. ....would you or would you not want or wish that someone would come in and help take them out of leadership, even though you know that some people would get hurt in the process? And most if not all of the Iraqi American exiles agree with what is going on.

If this war is so great for the Iraqi people (which I doubt), then why are so many of them fighting and dying for their country? Why did they not welcome the American troops with open arms instead of trying to kill them?

Keep in mind that over 500 civilians have died thus far. It's sad.

Because the "regime" will kill them if they don't fight and welcome the coalition troops.

It's sad that some have died. But how many dies per month under the regime?

DID you see this

She has two broken legs, a broken arm and at least one gunshot wound, but American POW Pfc. Jessica Lynch couldn't be happier, having been rescued by "very brave coalition forces" from her Iraqi captors yesterday.

NBC News reports a resident of Nasiriyah who spoke English approached correspondent Kerry Sanders yesterday and told him: "There's a woman in the Saddam Hospital who's an American soldier. Please make sure the people in charge know that she's being tortured." GEE... I wonder what type of torture those POS did to her?? DO YOU HAVE ANY SYMPATHY FOR AMERICAN SOLDIERS WHO ARE RAPED AND BEATEN AND TORTURED????

maybe if they would have burned her and cut off a hand then you would feel something for her?

The civilian casualities are more from Iraq's own army. Look at the people leaving Basra and Iraq soldiers firing at them. How the hell does ones own gov't fire at their own people.

You would be amazed at the things you would do if someone held a gun to your head or threatened to kill your family(As was the case with the van full of women and children that tried to run through the checkpoint and were killed).

So, if we were invaded I would be sure to tell the soldiers to rape you since Americans soldiers did that before, OK?

Because it happened before means it should continue to happen and boo hoo too friggin bad??

FuZioN, please tell me your nationality or religion.

If I read your rant right, you're saying you can't sympathise with the US POW's and injured civilian children at the same time.

Is that really your point?

Maybe i wasnt clear but, The point I was trying to make, your blasting off at how evil the iraqis forces are yet this original thread was about Iraqi children, no one ever said they didn?t care about the POW.
Yet you assumed the poster didn?t give a damn about her. Never made a single reference to what the original poster said.

I see your point, but I would have thought that ~90% of the posts around here are one-sided.

ie "I hate the French (line up with me and kick them)" or "support the troops".

If it was a post saying "look at the poor Iraqi republican guard bleeding to death" I would really sympathise with your stance, but this was only about some civilian children on TV. I thought it to be rather innocuous.

Cheers,

Andy
