I was trying to come up with something poetic but just could not. I am actively fighting back tears right now. 🙁 This truly brings home just how quickly it can be over, so make sure you let your family know how much you love them as often as possible.

I don't believe I have ever seen a thread posted by or posted in a thread where ace was actively participating as I don't recall the name or avatar, but this has struck something pretty deep in me nonetheless. Why is this?

RIP ace. :brokenheart:

Surreal.

When I go into work, it's dark. I work in a dark room down in the basement. When I get home, it's dark.

Next week, when I have a few vacation days, I will go watch the sunrise.

It's funny how one can take the simple pleasures of life for granted so easily. Thanks for the reminder, acemcmac!!

it's so eerie. Reading those words he posted before he died. He's gone, those words remain. I wonder if some part of him knew what was going to happen, that post had a spiritual undertone to it, sitting there watching the sun rise.

I live in an "encyclopedia home." It's very tall and thin. 4 stories if you include the basement (basement exits to grade, front door is in the front of the first floor and also at grade if you were wondering).

This means I have a lounge behind my master bedroom with a view of the whole valley. That's where I put my lazyboy. The whole sky was orange and pink. It was pretty cool.

I should have poured a scotch thinking back to it....

I just wanted to post that.

Tried to see the sunrise this morning, in memory of acemcmac.

sunrise 6:50am

woke up at 6:30am to see it, but it was raining. no sun 🙁

will try again

If you see this thread and then find yourself driving under the influence of alcohol please smack yourself in the face with a hammer for all of us.

I had the oppotunity to watch the sunrise this morning.

I watched it while nursing my 6 day old baby daughter back to sleep.

Rise up this mornin,
Smiled with the risin sun,
Three little birds
Sittin' by my doorstep
Singin sweet songs
Of melodies pure and true,
Sayin: this is my message to you-ou-ou

dont worry, bout a thing,
cause every little thing gonna be all right.
Singin: dont worry bout a thing,
cause every little thing gonna be all right!

beautiful. I remember all the sunrises of my youth, being up at the crack of dawn and listening to what sounded like a jungle off in the woods. I live downtown, but near a river where they couldn't develop land so they left the flora intact.

I miss Ace

This is some what chilling in a way. Death is always an uncertainty, yet a part of all our lives.

Death is not the greatest loss in life. The greatest loss is what dies inside us while we live.
