one thing that really strikes me is, not only was he the kind of person who took the time to enjoy the beauty of this world, but he wanted to share that with all of us, making ATOT a more beautiful place too.

Well if you actually READ the two non-garbage threads that are stickied, you'd see that ace was struck and killed by a drunk driver.

That really adds something to think about... it almost seems like ace somehow knew he should appreciate that particular sunrise, instead of one yesterday or last week or last year.

wow, I haven't posted here much in the past year and a half or so, and it's tough coming back and seeing this. It's surreal, it's almost like in a way, something made him get up that morning and watch the sunrise. A few hours after making that thread, and after a few replies, he's gone forever. All senseless, because of someone who was too impared to be driving. If this isn't a wake up call as to just how precious and uncertain life is, nothing is.

i too have stopped to look at the sunrise in a different way since this thread, and just last night i noticed how beautiful the moon looked in the night sky.

we take a lot of those things for granted.

In Eli's defense, I saw the stickied threads and didn't read them for a few days either. Took me a while to realize what had happened even though I had posted in this thread the morning he posted it. 🙁

I tend to glaze over stickied threads after a while because they are generally stuff I've seen before or a mod warning to the rest of us about some imbeciles who've been banned.
