I'm sitting at a stop light. A police officer is the first car to the left of me in the turn lane.
There's a couple of cars behind the police officer. The arrow light turns green for the turn lane.
The cop doesn't move. One of the cars behind the cop honks. The cop still doesn't move.
The arrow light then turns yellow. After a couple seconds hesitation, the cop proceeds to turn.
The light turns red as the cop makes his move. The guy behind the cop goes, too.
The cop pulls out wide and brakes to a stop. The guy passes cop on the inside of the turn.

The cop pulls the guy over (for running the red light?)

I'd fight that ticket. Would probably lose, but I'd fight it.

In NYC, the cops used to get right up your ass on the highway; no lights or sirens. You speed up thinking they want to pass. They keep tailgating. You speed up...POPPED for speeding! Bastards. Now when I cop is up my butt w/o any lights, I let off the gas and slow to 40mph which is the minimum speed on most major highways. They get the hint.

probably an asshole cop trying to meet the assinine ticket quotas.

There are no such thing as ticket quotas. They are called "Monthly Performance Measurement Indexes" (MPMI's)

cop in the wrong, but the guy driving should have known better, don't turn the red light w/ a cop in front of you... even if the cop is stupid.

Where they're all trying to beat the average "index" mind you.

Just wow. Must be trying to make his quota.

I had an incident where a cop car cuts me off when I was exiting off a freeway. There is median (long wide stretch) between highway and exit ramp. Cop apparently missed his exit and decides to drive over median to get on ramp and nearly hits me. I fought the urge to flip him off.

lol... you couldve seen that coming... 😀

you would think.🙂

your bud honking probably pissed the cop off.

ive had a cop come to almost a complete stop in front of me one night coming home. it was around 2am on a four lane highway, 45 mph limit, and he was in front of me in the outside lane. he slowed down, and i was thinking he was going to turn. when he slowed to about 10 mph., i realized there wasnt a street for the cop to turn on, so i passed him. he followed me for a good 5 mins. and then made a u back the other way. im glad i was paying attention, or i would have just stopped in the middle of the road if he wouldve. that wouldnt have looked proper.

lol that guy that went was a dumbass for thinking it was a good idea to follow the cop through a red light.

The guy behind the cop is a moron. I'm the most impatient guy in the world on the road, but I would never purposely do anything illegal with a cop right there no matter how much time it costs me.
