Im driving down the interstate through Albuquerque & a really weird van drives by me. it was a completely blacked out full size Ford van(all back paint, no chrome, & all of the windows tinted black). It was jacked up in the air like it had 4wd(not sure if this was a modification or if Ford makes 4wd vans). It had a HUGE brush bar on the front(almost like a battering ram) & it had some sort of box shape unit on the top of the van(perhaps a second AC unit?). It also seemed to have a mean sounding exhaust note. The part that threw me was that it had government plates. It doesnt seem like your typical gov. vehicle. It looked like a prop for a MIB movie.

Well, if it had tinted windows, then it is likely some government service doesn't want you to know the van's purpose. :p
They have a whole variety of vehicles for strange purposes. Likely something to the tune of Secret Service/FBI. I imagine a van just so they can cram more people/equipment into it as compared to the typical large SUV.

edit:
Crusty made a good point. Possibly something border-patrol related.
Brush-guard/ram, 4WD, and heavy duty engine, sound like something for mass transport desert-style.

It probably came from the secret underground military base located in New Mexico.

Sounds like border patrol. They tend to try to compensate for their size by buying the most ridiculous vehicles.

There's an Air Force base and a National Lab in Albuquerque, both of which use government vehicles and drive off-road. I'd say chances are it belongs to one of them.

I dont think its border patrol. I live south of Tucson & Ive never seen anything like that van. Every road vehicle Ive seen is a standard 4x4 thats painted green & white. The plates also have DHS on them(that wasnt on the government plates on the van). Maybe its an ultra double secret BP division!?!?!

The contraption on the top is not an air conditioner. It either houses some kind of weird detector or some communications antenna contraption. You should have followed it a while until you had a chance to pull up next to it and ask for directions to the nearest secret alien flying saucer base.
