I saw some kids stealing today

Viana

Banned
I walked into a Dollar Store, and I saw 3 kids taking loads of candy and then going to the back of the store. Right away I knew what they were going to do. Just 1 minute later they were leaving the store 1 by 1, and then leaving the mall.

I dont understand why they would steal $1 candies. Its pretty sad. Later on in the day I saw them walking by, making a lot of noise in the mall. I came to the conclusion that these kids are the ones you see in school that are in the "special classes" if you know what I mean. One of the kids was wearing mascara(spelling???).

Viana, aka Kilban,

You do not understand why kids would steal candy, but it is all right for you to steal software. Bragging about it is why you were banned, before.

Good bye,

That's not a matter of being a rat...that's the matter of doing the right thing.

So if I saw someone raping a woman, i shouldn't tell on her because I'd be ratting the rapist out?

Even if they did leave the store/mall, i would have told the manager or owner about it. That way atleast they know to look out for these kids. It's not the fact that it was $1 its the thrill of not getting caught doing it. Pushing limits.

I would have told the manager ASAP. They think they can do this everytime, I guarentee that they do it again. I would have told the kids that the Anandtech Mod was gonna be after them... that is enuff for me to drop anything I stole 😱

Don't even go there. Not even the same ballpark at all.

You should do the kids a huge favor and get them in trouble now, instead of waiting till there 18 and there stealing stereo systems, and when they do get caught go to jail and ruin there lives.

If someone commits a crime, it is your civic duty to report it.

If you owned a store, would you want people shoplifting?

When you go to a store, prices are high because of shoplifters.

And you stood by doing ....what, nothing!? Worse than the kids are people like YOU who are basically telling them that theft is acceptable. :|

Its not for some people. Personally I would have been at the cashiers desk the moment I knew what was going on but thats just me.

I even said in my post to beware of the Anandtech Mod, and here he came to frighten us all 😱🙁

Or when I take one of them out off my apartment balcony with my Glock. Yes, bust kids' butts while you still can, or they can potentially learn it the hard way.

Screw that. Go straight for the kids and give them a chance to put it all back before going straight to the cops with drawings of their faces and a threat for the mall security to keep an eye out for them for the next... oh, say, rest of their lives. 😛

j/k

I would have hung them upside down and peeled their skin off.

😛 you should have just pulled them aside and tell them to put it back. shoplifters don't like to get caught. they panic. in otherwords, unless they are very very far gone, you can scare the cr@p out of em. no violence or anything dramatic required😛
