I saw Great Blue and White Herons today

Walking by a little fish pond by my house I saw a Great Blue Heron (not too rare) but I also saw a Great White Heron along with it. Great Whites are very rare in my area (Boston suburbs).

These are amazing birds to see up close.

I need me a nice small digital camera with a good zoom to take on my walks with me. I'm sorry I didn't have one for this. This was truly a rare occurance. I also missed a photo of some Bald Eagles last year.🙁
 
cool, I don't think I've ever seen a Great White Heron, but I see Blue Herons at the pond behind my house all the time. They are big animals, but they look so goofy when they're flying with their necks all bunched up.
 
I see Blue Herons alot around here- Never saw a White Heron before, and certainly never two together like that.
