The dealership is in Ramsey, NJ. There was a lot in the back full of RX8s. Must have been 50 or so of them. They also had about 7 WRX STis in stock too which they said was strange because they usually go quickly.

Ohhh I never said it wasent a good bank for the buck car, I just hate it when people compare it to a higher class of car that is N/A saying that it is better/faster. Because in 90% of the cases if you threw a power adder on the cars they where comparing it to the neon would be left eating the dust once again.

That said, I like this one that I saw at a fair in S.FL.

I love me RX-7! :)

I understood the wankel rotary as having a flat-line torque curve - meaning the torque continued to increase as the RPM was increased... plus, the wankel has to be driven at higher RPM's because that's the way the engine is designed. It's actually made for 7k+ rpm's. The original wankel design where both rotor and housing rotated, had 20k+ speeds...

I could care less what the body looks like - I love the engine that's inside. Would be nice if a normal 4 door sedan came with a wankel rotary engine though.

You're comparing a 160hp FWD entry level compact sedan with a 250hp AWD semi-luxury mid-size sedan.

Would you compare the MZ3 with a G35?

And for the record, I think the RX-8 is fugly as all hell. They look much better in pictures than in person.

Personally, I wouldn't buy the regular RX-8. I was SOOOO looking forward to it, but I don't think it looks quite right. However I would buy the Mazdaspeed RX-8! It's incredible!!

...and you think it looks right now because they added $400 in ground effects? o_O

I do like the power boost though. Will definately wait it out now.

EDIT: Wait....this looks like it's only available in Japan. Is it coming to the US? If not, what's the point?

I think you might be missing the point here. People aren't just saying it's faster than many more expensive performance cars, it really is. I also don't see how it helps your argument to say that you need to put more money into an already more expensive car to beat the cheap Neon. You also seem to think that forced induction is cheating and I'm not sure why.

SRT-4 = gofast on the cheap. There's no arguing this point.
