it would have been a whole lot more disturbing if the rescue response team instead of packing up his body for the morgue started to devour his remains in a bloody satanic sacrifice in broad daylight.

hahaha.... no way dude that would be awesome! run and and get the shotgun its DOOM time flesheating zombie killer!
Ive been practicing all these years for that exact day!
Heh. And my neighbors ask me why I have this nice big shiny Poulan chainsaw in my house when I don't have any trees in my yard. Silly people...
😀

EDIT: To CVSiN: I did see that aircarft carrier film of an airman getting sucked into the intake of a Harrier and then thrown out and still be alive.

I sometimes wonder why there seems to be no footage whatsoever of the people that jumped from the twin towers, impact wise. You'd think some would exist- not that I want to see it.

Saw guy stop his car on a R&R crossing and wait for the train to hit him. Helped search for his body. The car was rippen into about 3 major sections and he was thrown about 70 feet into a corn field. When we located his body it was pretty gruesome. Head was cracked open like an egg. Brain was prettymuch gone. It happened a long time ago but every now an then i still think about it. Relax the memory will fade with time. People do these kinds of things from time to time.

Did you just look for his body out of morbid curiosity?
Surely there was no chance that he lived.
I doubt I would have looked for what was left of his body.

No Morbid curiosity here. Friend that was with me was a paramedic so he immediately went looking for possible survivors. I just helped him look. At the time we didn't know if there any passngers. I don't know if I really like your tone either. There is no way to know if anyone survived for certain unless you go look. Since we witnessed the event we were the first responders. Are you saying that you wouldn't have checked to see if there was anyone alive that you may possibly be able to help? All we knew was that he wasn't in the wreckage until we found his body there was no way to know if he was dead. I will tell you if he had not have suffered the head trauma he did he would have most likely survived.

don't worry. First one would be scary, but after you've seen a few people die, it'll be okay. Just go rent a couple of those "Faces of Death" movies and watch them. After about the 3rd or fourth one, you won't be so traumatized anymore.

You know it's possible He was **Pushed** off the building. In which case you might have a killer walking free in the complex.

Hope that helps.

I bet I have you beat, and it's not the dead ones you remember it's the ones crying for help that stick in your mind over the years. 🙁

As far as the original poster seeing that happen, I'm sorry. People do some bad things in this world and over the years you will see more death and disturbing events up close and personal. The trick is to realize that these things happen and to try and get over it quickly, this had nothing to do with you so try not to let it effect you too much.

I didn't mean to sound condescending, I just meant that if I saw a car get split into three pieces I wouldn't think survival would be possible. If I was with a paramdeic I would have helped him search too.

I have some friends who work in the ER (wife did also until about a month ago)... it's not the adults that stick in your head..... it's the children. And, as 911paramedic said above... the ones still alive and conscious, with no hope.

def. not a good idea to jump of buildings

owwwwwww
So which building was it? Was it the really tall one with the spike on the top?

About 10 years ago, a woman jumped from the 9th floor onto my Mom's back patio. My Mom was home alone at the time, and had a hard time dealing with it... The house was a mess with all police & coroner's office people. The firemen were the first to arrive (the station is one block away) and they stayed to wash the place with a fire hose.
