:laugh: o how i wish it would be a mere $4 a gallon here. the cheapest you can find it here is about $5.6 a gallon. be happy. you have really low gas prices.

Actually their profits are at record levels because income is at record levels. Demand is going up. Profit margins aren't really going up much.

And for those that don't understand the income statement, the real net profit is basically called "net income". Don't confuse it with gross profit.

If you want to blame people, blame the "war against terrorism" because it has caused instability in the middle east for oil production, and because it has made the USD even more worthless.

Also blame increased demand from China.
