Whew, talk about stressful (for me at least).

Resigned from a Network Manager position to take a job as a programmer.

So, when people say that they work a job because it's "not about the money"--I completely understand.

Nice $$$ + Horrible Boss = Crappy Job

I could only stand it for 8 months.

Start next week.

I hear that. Years ago I quit a crappy job with a lousy boss at a grocery store to go be a Floor Manager at a roller-rink. Despite the lower pay, I got more money due to more hours, and the job was a lot of fun. My boss was one of the best I have ever had at any job.
 
I worked for a BIG PUTER CO. for 2 years and got sick of it. Took the big jump and started my own IT shop. Couldn't be happier!!!!
