Just be glad that it's only 7% of the population and that they are misinformed about something as unimportant as chocolate milk.

edit: Oh by the way how do we know most of those 7% were serious? They could have just chosen the joke response for laughs. If the internet has taught us anything, it's that Boaty McBoatface isn't the serious choice, because people aren't always so serious.

Exactly my thought

I'd believe the opposite. If somebody was to tell me that only 7 percent of Americans believe chocolate milk comes from brown cows I'd think the number was too low. There is no level of stupidity that seems unobtainable.

Lol I would not be surprised. There was a show where they used to go around interviewing Americans about Canada related questions. Some people legitly thought we live in igloos or that or parliament is made of ice. Or that the polar bears just roamed the streets etc. I need to find that now.

I've taught my children well, that this is true.
This is almost as common as Santa.

I use to tell little kids that Chicken McNuggets come from baby chickens. Imagine their horror.

This, it's like the substance abuse surveys they gave us in Highschool. Everyone put they were doing cocaine on the daily despite the fact 95% of them had never even seen cocaine.

I've got a manager at work who believes whole milk is more likely to go bad than skim or 2%
In my experience it is. I can keep 2% milk as long as a week after the expiration. Whole milk sometimes starts turning before the expiration.

Considering I see about 50 different stupid people driving every day, I find those numbers low.

Nothing looks impossible right now and I believe there are people who would believe most anything, and the lack of interest to get informed and conscious regarding the world around them is quite disturbing. Everyone is influenced in one way or another, to buy the things they do not need or to believe any crazy thing they hear.

But the reality is so much worse...

Lots of editing was involved.

But, I'm sure much of it was true.

In society there is a pyramid.

Now, in this pyramid the masses are at the bottom. They get their information at the bottom of the pyramid. Think news, tabloids, reality shows, Facebook newsfeeds, etc... Stuff like that.

The people at the top of the pyramid are low in number. They are typically successful entrapuneres. Maybe even college professors, scientist, researchers, etc. They are consciously reaching up. Think reading books that expand their thinking. They read books on system building, spirituality, personal growth, etc.

It's the difference from being in a duuurr state (masses) to being fully awake (the few). So, I'm not really suprised to see that many Americans don't know much about other cultures because most are reaching down. Most are too busy watching Netflix to give a f*ck.

I would like to think we're not this stupid but then I remember that we elected Donald Trump as our president so this really doesn't surprise me.

And what about brown eggs?
Mmm. I love me some chocolate eggs! That's why they are brown on the outside, right? And they come from chocolate chickens...or is it the chocolate bunnies that lay those eggs? :D
