I received a wonderful surprise in the mail today

As some of you may or may not know, my wife and I bought a house this past October. We moved from a small condo to a 4 level back split detached home with a garage. Anyways, in the mail today came a large package from lawyers office (the real estate lawyer, not divorce  ) so I assume it was the title to the home. It was indeed the title, along with a cheque for $3900. I guess we overpaid somewhere. The money has not been missed, so i see a 52" TV in my near future.

Cliffs:

$3900

You really only overpaid by $300, you need to cash the check and send the extra $3600 to a Nigerian Prince to appease the finance gods.

you can get more than a 52" with 3900, you are in good 1080p projector territory.

Putting 1k on the line of credit

or the entire home theater territory. tv, surround sound, blue-ray, plenty left over for a new blu-ray video collection. $3k plus can take you a long way!

panny pro 52 plasma - denon receiver, monitor audio speakers, blu-ray, harmony remotes - That should about take care of the 3900.

Why stop at 52"? If you can't see the nose hairs of your local news anchors clearly from 10 feet away, the TV is NOT big enough.

:music:
Risin' above the city, blocking out the noonday sun
It dwarfs the mighty redwoods and it towers over everyone
I still remember when that delivery truck came down our block
What a lucky guy, I hear he got the last one in stock
And the neighbors are just green
They say, "That's the biggest screen we've ever seen!"

It's Frank's 2000" TV (Frank's 2000" TV)
:music:

Nice. Especially nice that they refunded you when you were none the wiser.

Take a vacation to somewhere you've never been.

I'd actually do this. Sure, a TV would be nice... but my dream is to see as much of the world as possible... so that $3900 would probably be spent on a nice little vacation in Europe. 😀
