I REALLY REALLY want a cadre of Oompa Loompas to do my evil bidding. But, alas, it ain't gonna happen. 🙁

I think at first it was a bandwidth thing. 100,000 users = 100,000 avatars = issues. The forums loaded faster if there was just a small set of avaters to choose from.

But it is also a moderation thing. Same deal with inline pictures. You've seen the kind of people who post in OT. Just think of the abuses that would go on!! :shocked:

I'd like to see how crappy it is and how bad it it would make the forums look to have custom avatars.
