Have been having some trouble with DSL due to MSN's problem and their imprompt response. I've never realized how much I appreciated my broadband until it was taken away. I am stuck with stupid dial-up until MSN decides to send me the material necessary for getting it all started and who knows when that will be.. Dial up was just the way of life two years ago for me and now its like unbelievably slow and man am I irritated :|

Specific stuff in my website in my profile.

PS: this is why I haven't been around for a while. I don't feel like browsing through ATOT on dial-up.

Enough with the rants already. if you can't stand it. Don't browse at all!!! :|

I was actually wondering today why I hadnt seen you make any posts. Hopefully MSN can get your broadband back to you soon.

I ran into the same situation of having to use Dial Up during Christmas break and it sucked hardcore.

Keep up the good work, MSN.

Hahahaha, classic.

<< I'm in a VERY similar situation with MSN DSL. What sort of materials are you still needing? >>

look at my rant page in my profile, which is in my homepage section of the profile.

everyone else. You've been warned. If you don't want to listen to my MSN rant, don't go to the page please.

1. You don't need the CD, no matter what they say.
2. You DO need your keycodes for your account. These are -supposed- to be generated when the CD goes out but MAY be on the "CD Order Page"
3. You DO need to call the billing department and make sure they credit you for any and all dial-up time. Suggest they give you unlimited access month by month until the issue is resolved.
4. You DO need to make sure they credit your account for the DSL you're paying for

The Keycodes are what you enter into the Username/Password boxes in the dial-up connection.

Key1 will be a series of 8 numbers. You enter it in as "########@msndsl.net"
Key2 will be 3 numbers, 5 UPPER CASE LETTERS, and 2 more numbers

I was without my keycodes for close to 3 weeks. Received 3 incorrect CD's, none of which had keycodes. Since October 27th, I've been connected for 12 days and have made 150+ phone calls to tech support/billing. Getting a letter ready to send to corporate and customer service asking why the hell I've stayed with them.

well let's just hope you stay on dial-up.

I'm using MSN dialup right now and it loads the forums plenty fast. Although yes, dialup sucks compared to broadband overall, for ATOT specifically it's nothing to complain about.

I wish I even had DSL....

They don't have DSL or cable in your particluar neighbourhood? My friend has that problem. His town has it, but the particular neighborhood he's in couldn't use DSL or Cable modem because of the way his cable and phone is wired as he was told by Qwest and AT&T

I really really hate my dial-up

I FEEL for you brother, I have had cable for 3 years and last month I had to use DU for 2 days I thought I was going to DIE.😀

No I can get it Jerboy, it's just that I don't have a job right now... been looking but no one wants to hire a person without experience. My mom won't get DSL because we have 3 year contract with MSN dial up. I wonder if we can upgrade... 😀

Oh man! mistake #1. Sucks to be you there.

Oh believe me I know, but it was the $400 Best Buy GC that got my mom to sign up. We needed a new 4in1 printer, and that covered it. Oh well....

Its not as bad anymore. Its been about two weeks and I'm learning to live on what I have. I avoid multimedia and download as much as possible and will hold off all the updates and crap until DSL is back.
