are you saying diabetics shouldn't eat waffles?

Not store bought, processed waffles. And probably not hot pockets or toaster strudels either.

It's difficult to tell what other sugar laden food is in there.

Healthy diabetic eating includes:
Limiting foods that are high in sugar
Eating smaller portions, spread out over the day
Being careful about when and how many carbohydrates you eat
Eating a variety of whole-grain foods, fruits and vegetables every day
Eating less fat
Limiting your use of alcohol
Using less salt

Cooking's easy as hell, and it doesn't have to be labor intensive, or expensive. I'm cheap and lazy, and most of what I make is better than what I see in that freezer.

Frozen waffles taste like shit. Either make them yourself, or switch to pancakes. Boxed mix is cheap and easy.

Buy frozen salmon fillets. Olive oil a pan, put a little on top, sprinkle Old Bay over it, and put in the toaster oven for 10 minutes or so. While that's cooking, open a can of asparagus, and heat it in the microwave. If you want rice, you have to start that before everything. That takes the longest.

Grilled cheese and soup. Use block cheese, and rye bread. The soup's canned.

Spam/egg/cheese sandwiches

Fried summer squash. Cut up onions and green pepper with it, add a bit of salt and curry powder.

so on, and so on...

Canned food is your friend. It's easy to keep, and easy to cook. Mix stuff together, and experiment. If you fuck it up, you're only out a couple dollars.

You obviously don't know the difference between type 1 and 2

No I don't.

What I do know is that I wouldn't eat the junk in there, and nobody I know that gives half a shit about what they put in their bodies wouldn't either.

You continue to eat whatever crap you want to though.

In moderation, as part of a balanced diet, carbs aren't terrible for anyone, even diabetics...

However, based solely on what's seen in your freezer, you don't have a balanced diet...

Refined carbs are getting turned directly into simple sugars in already sugar laden food. That's bad news for everyone, especially diabetics.

Obviously refined foods when eaten in moderation, as part of a well-balanced diet, shouldn't be a problem in relatively healthy individuals.

You don't need to know all that. You just have to get yourself a good woman who can cook. Here's my breakfast this morning. Homemade grit, scrambled eggs, bacon, pan fried beef dumplings, and coffee.

OK well let me help.

My son could be fed 100% free range beef hand fed by virgin princesses and organic fruit grew on Shang Ra La and his condition would not improve.

His body killed the part of his body that produces insulin when he was 4 years old. It cannot be revived and it was no one's fault that it happened. It could not be prevented.

So you don't think healthier foods would have any long terms benefits for either one of you?

you are the one who felt the need to step in and say that diabetics should not eat waffles.

You were being ignorant and talking out your ass. Admit you were wrong and move on.

Frozen foods really drop per unit cost at the warehouse stores and if you eat them, they won't go bad.

I go through the store circular to make my list, I routinely save 25-30% just by doing that.

You are the one who came in here and displayed your shitty food choices and poor eating habits for everyone to see.

Nothing you have said has changed my mind. While it may not ever get better, it can certainly get worse.

Eat whatever shit you want, it's no skin off my ass.

There are better quality foods/meals than what you have in the freezer. You are just to lazy to make a good meal that is healthy. Should not your son deserve such TLC?
