I really need a haircut...

Ewww, I can feel all this hair floppin' around over my ears...and its creeping down my neck...it just feels wrong! I think the last time I got a haircut it was before Halloween! How long do the guys here typically go between haircuts? Do you find that going to a barber or getting your hair cut by someone you know personally helps you get it cut more often?

Speaking of grooming habits, I highly recommend sharpman.com for grooming advice and tips. Its a pretty cool site.
 
I was thinking of letting my hair grow (had it short for about 5 years, I'm 16 now), does it feel any different really, or is it fairly similar to short hair (washing etc)?
 
i've had the same hairstyle for 10 years now! from 4th grade to 2nd year of college. gotta change it, but how??
 
I went from medium length to really long to fairly short now... I like the short... it's more stylish and easy to manage... throw in the gel and go.

Don't even need to blowdry... that I hated about long hair. Washing it too forever and it gets really messed up if you don't take care of it.

I don't think I can go 4 weeks without a cut now... it's almost time for me now.

EDIT: if you're looking for a new hair style... I'd just look at pics of celebs and go "I want this". Girls do that a lot... stylists keep up with those trends at least.

It depends. I want to grow my hair out (again) - if I hadn't cut it in the first place a couple months back it'd be the perfect length by now, but I keep wussing out because it looks weird. (I shaved it down to 1/2" last week)
 
I get a haircut every 2-3 weeks. Past 3 weeks looks nasty. 😛. I like my hair short. It draws attention away from the fact that my hair is very thin up front. 🙁

i get one about every 3 months, maybe 2 at the most. i dont like it short, but i figure if im gonna pay for it, he just as well cut most of it off so i dont have to go back in a couple weeks or even a month

my bro, a punky guitarist loser, usually let his grow just over his eyes or so, then one day....he just shaved his whole head

I used to wear my hair long but when I moved to Floriduh I went pretty short.

Now havent gotten a haircut for about 5 months as the last two have been disasters. They just cant cut mens hair in Floriduh unless you are old, thinning or bald (Im only one) or want a crew cut/shaved head. Had one good person but as usual she moved away. All the places here make you look hispanic or asian (no offense meant) and if you are not of those ethnic groups, too bad. Dont even know how to cut hair if they cant use electric clippers. Never again.

I mean, afterall, he did say I was as good as a cheap barber!

Just got a haircut yesterday, was over six weeks since the last one. Usually I get a haircut every five or so weeks.
Talk about stylists moving away I had another new one yesterday, but one that had been there quite a while did a nice job.
 
I'm letting mine grow out and so far its pretty annoying. Its all bushy in back and gets messed up real easy. Its been over a year since my last full on haircut.
